Guided visit is included

Half-day excursion from Paris to discover the house and magnificent gardens of Impressionist master Claude Monet, accompanied by an official guide. Immerse yourself in the world of the prodigious painter, famous for his landscape paintings based on the perspectives of his garden, such as the "Water Lilies", "The Japanese Bridge" and "The Iris".

You can admire the fabulous water lily pond and its play of colors, its legendary Japanese-inspired bridge and immerse yourself in the artist's daily life by visiting his home and studio.

Depart from our agency in central Paris for an exceptional excursion in the footsteps of Impressionist painter Claude Monet. Admire the beautiful green landscapes of the French countryside as you travel by air-conditioned bus to reach the small Normandy village of Giverny after around 1h30. Painter and gardener Claude Monet lived here for 43 years, from 1883 until his death in 1926, with his family of 8 children.

Passionate about gardening and color variations, he designed his flower, fruit and water gardens like works of art. During your visit, admire the central path leading to the house, lined with nasturtiums and roses of all kinds, and contemplate the beds of a thousand colors covering the ground : tulips, narcissi, daffodils, irises, peonies...

Stroll through the Clos Normand, planted with numerous plants of oriental origin, to reach the sumptuous water garden so famous for its water lilies, weeping willows and Japanese bridge painted green (the opposite of the red traditionally used in Japan). Let yourself be seduced by the atmosphere, the play of light and the reflections of the clouds on the pond.

Then take a free tour of Monet's pink-plastered house, where he lived and worked for many years (guided tours of the interior are not permitted due to the small size of the premises). Discover the "salon bleu" reading room, which communicates with the "épicerie", Claude Monet's studio where he worked until 1889, reconstructed with the furniture already on site, as well as his private apartments. Visit the sunny yellow dining room, recreated down to the last detail, very modern for its time, with its earthenware crockery, and the kitchen with its Rouen blue tiles. Admire one of the world's most important collections of Japanese prints in the dining room.

At the end of your visit, take advantage of the village and its pretty boutique-library, the 300m2 former Atelier des Nymphéas, offering a wide choice of products related to the work of the Impressionist artist: postcards, posters, teas, books, Claude Monet's official crockery and flower and plant seeds.

Visit the gardens of Giverny. Take advantage of your free time to stroll through the magnificent flowerbeds and wander inside Claude Monet's house.
